Borsheims has promoted Sunil Luthra to Vice President of Technology and Security. In his new role, Luthra joins the Borsheims’ executive team as an officer and will continue to lead the development and strategic direction of the company’s technology infrastructure, innovation, and data security. He will also oversee the store’s world-class Security team that keeps Borsheims’ employees, customers and merchandise protected.
Luthra began working at Borsheims in 2010 as the Director of Information Technology, where he introduced new technology strategies that resulted in innovation, efficiency, automation and higher data security standards for the business. Over the last ten years, he has brought digital solutions to Borsheims that have helped provide signature experiences to our customers and employees.
Luthra has a successful history in leading projects, teams and strategic goals to achieve excellence for the company’s clients and employees. His recent implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system has brought many new opportunities and efficiencies to Borsheims, including streamlining work in the areas of inventory management, data analysis and reporting, product fulfillment and financial operations.
Borsheims’ President and CEO Karen Goracke praised Luthra’s contributions, stating “Sunil has been an integral part of our growth for the past decade. He is always looking to the future and is a true team player and leader.”
He is co-chair of the Adaptive Jewelry Users Group and a member of the Berkshire Hathaway CIO Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Sunil was born in New Delhi, India and currently resides in Omaha with his wife and three children.
