We are thrilled to announce plans for a major architectural transformation of our flagship destination.\u00a0This renovation\u00a0blends modern luxury with a future-forward customer experience,\u00a0marking\u00a0our entry into a new\u00a0<\/span>Golden Era<\/span><\/i>;\u00a0a nod to both our new gold facade and the enduring legacy that has defined us for more than 155 years. Our redesign reintroduces elevated luxury, modern\u00a0energy\u00a0and a renewed approach to the in-store experience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWith this next-generation renovation, our goal is, first and foremost, to reimagine the customer\u2019s experience, bringing it into a new era,\u201d said Karen Goracke, President and CEO of Borsheims. \u201cThe reimagined flagship will boast improvements that showcase our exceptional collections in custom curated displays and provide an elevated luxury environment to serve our customers, reinforcing Borsheims as a destination.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Omaha-based HDR, a global architecture and engineering firm, will lead the design, with construction by Kiewit, one of North America\u2019s most<\/span><\/span> re<\/span><\/span>spected<\/span><\/span> construction organizations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The extensive renovation will transform more than\u00a0<\/span><\/span>20,000 square feet<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of showroom space into an open-concept environment that blends contemporary design, artistic\u00a0<\/span><\/span>influence<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and an elevated customer journey. Key features include\u00a0<\/span><\/span>additional<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>seating areas for private consultations, an updated Luxury Salon dedicated to high-end jewelry collections and a striking main entrance vestibule designed as an architectural statement. Given\u00a0<\/span><\/span>our<\/span>\u00a0legacy as Omaha\u2019s leading jeweler since 1870, the storefront redesign will include subtle nods to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>our\u00a0<\/span><\/span>heritage, thoughtfully woven into the architectural details at the entrance.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In a bold move to elevate the customer experience and meet the evolving ways today\u2019s consumers love to shop, the renovation will see strong luxury partnerships and more immersive branded boutiques. The redesigned store will\u00a0<\/span><\/span>retain<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>our\u00a0<\/span><\/span>signature offerings, including private appointments, complimentary gift\u00a0<\/span><\/span>wrap<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and best-in-class\u00a0<\/span><\/span>expertise<\/span>, while introducing a more fluid, inviting layout that encourages discovery and connection.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor more than 155 years, Borsheims has evolved alongside our customers,\u201d said Goracke. \u201cThis renovation elevates the shopping experience while ensuring our flagship\u00a0<\/span><\/span>remains<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a locally loved, nationally relevant luxury destination. While the space is transforming and the doors will remain open, our mission\u00a0<\/span><\/span>remains<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the same: to deliver a personal, exceptional experience that reflects who we are today and where\u00a0<\/span><\/span>we\u2019re<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>headed.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Renovations will officially begin following the 2026 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting in May. Throughout construction,\u00a0<\/span>we<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>will remain open to customers, with work strategically executed in two phases and clear communication around any temporary entrance closures to ensure the seamless service\u00a0<\/span><\/span>our\u00a0<\/span><\/span>guests have come to expect. The online shopping experience will not be\u00a0<\/span><\/span>impacted<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>by the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>renovation<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>we\u00a0<\/span><\/span>will continue to serve\u00a0<\/span>our<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>international clientele spanning 50 states and six continents.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
