Its fluted shaft is inspired by the Functionalist movement of the 1930s, and the organic shape of the blade points back to heritage Georg Jensen designs. The Bernadotte collection was created by Swedish Prince Sigvard Bernadotte, and the first cutlery pieces were released in 1938. Ever since then the collection has been extended with new additions, and it remains one of the most successful and popular collaborations in the history of Georg Jensen. The Bernadotte cake spade is made from stainless steel.
