A timeless favorite -- the hand blown Hartland Stems move effortlessly from casual to formal place settings. Simon Pearce works solely in clear glass; some say the most difficult medium possible. While color can camouflage a multitude of flaws, every element from the raw materials to the tools being used must be perfect for true clarity to be achieved. Today at Simon Pearce glassblowing is still performed, as it would have been 200 years ago. Employing the traditional skills of old European studios makes our glass. Each piece is handmade and finished by one person and an assistant. As a result the glass has its own distinct, individual character.
